Washington, DC — Tudor Place Historic House & Garden launches the 2023 Landmark Lecture Series exploring ways to reposition stories of traditionally underrepresented communities in historical narratives and how these practices are leading to an inclusive interpretation of enslavement at Tudor Place.

Tudor Place Reopens

After a disrupted schedule over the past three years, Tudor Place reopens with its pre-pandemic schedule of docent-led tours of the historic house alongside the launch of a 3D virtual tour accessible on the website. The 3D virtual tour offers a way to discover rooms and objects in the historic house on the first floor, second-floor bedrooms and hallway where George Washington’s chest-on-chest bureau stands, all from the comforts of home. “We are excited to again welcome visitors six days a week for guided tours that share the stories of everyone at this National Historic Landmark,” said Executive Director Mark Hudson.

Press Release: Tudor Place Reopens to Pre-Pandemic Schedule

Washington, DC — Tudor Place Historic House & Garden opens Tuesdays through Saturdays from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. and Sundays from noon to 4:00 p.m. Beginning Tuesday, February 7 guided tours of the historic house and self-guided garden visits are available. Tours of the house start at the hour, with the last tour at 3 p.m. Advance registration is encouraged; visit www.tudorplace.org.
