WHAT ARE YOUR HOURS?
Thursday – Saturday from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. and Sundays from Noon – 4 p.m.
Tudor Place is open for guided house tours & self-guided garden visits Guided tours of the Historic House are offered on the hour Thursday – Saturday at 10, 11, 12, 1, 2, and 3 and on Sundays at 12, 1, 2, and 3:00 p.m. Self-guided house tours are not available. For the 3:00 p.m. tour, we recommend arriving early to explore the garden prior to your tour. The grounds close at 4:00 p.m. Entry to the garden after 3:30 p.m. will not be permitted. Advance registration is encouraged. Everyone 12 years of age or older attending an indoor tour, program or event, will be required to provide proof of full vaccination upon entry. For individuals with a medical or religious exemption, a negative PCR COVID test within 24 hours of the activity will allow entry.
WHAT ARE YOUR CURRENT HEALTH & SAFETY GUIDELINES?

*For everyone’s health and safety please observe these guidelines in alignment with guidance from DC Health and the CDC. Guidelines are supported by the Key Metrics for the District of Columbia and are subject to change as policy recommendations are updated. Tudor Place will enforce these guidelines and reserves the right to refuse entry to or remove visitors who do not comply.
IS THE SITE WHEELCHAIR ACCESSIBLE?
The garden is accessible from the city sidewalk (without steps). Its surfaces consist of grassy areas and paths laid with pea gravel, flagstone, bricks and stones set in grass.
The first floor of the Historic House can be made accessible for wheelchairs and other needs. Call 202-965-0400 if you have questions or would like assistance in making arrangements, including accessible parking and having ramps in place upon your arrival.
WHERE CAN I PARK?
Tudor Place is located at 1644 31st Street, NW in Washington, DC. The main entrance is on 31st Street, NW between Q & R Streets, NW in Georgetown. 1. Street parking is available in the neighborhood without a Zone 2 sticker free for two hours Monday through Saturday. Street parking on Sunday is free. Numerous pay-to-park services are available in the neighborhood. There is no parking lot for visitors.

If you ride your bike or scooter to Tudor Place, park and lock it at one of the bike racks outside the front gate.
CAN I TOUR THE HISTORIC HOUSE?
Yes! Advanced registration suggested. Suggested donation $10/ticket. Ticket includes garden access following a tour. Guided tours are held on the hour. Last tour starts at 3:00 p.m. Visitors for the 3:00 p.m. tour should plan to view the gardens before the tour. Self-guided tours of the historic house are not available.

CAN I VISIT THE GARDENS WITHOUT VISITING THE HOUSE?
Yes! When you arrive, check in at the Visitor Center to receive a ticket and garden map. No advanced registration is required. Garden visits are self-guided.
HOW LONG SHOULD I EXPECT TO SPEND AT TUDOR PLACE?
Guided tours of the Historic House last approximately 50 minutes. Garden visits can range from an hour or two or as your schedule permits. Take a self-guided visit with a garden map or listen to the Uniguide Audio Tour or pack a picnic on your lunch hour.
IS PHOTOGRAPHY ALLOWED?
Yes, personal photography is encouraged. In the Historic House, flash photography, tripods and selfie sticks are not permitted. Photography shoots require advanced notice and a permit. Click here for additional information. Call 202-965-0400 or email events@tudorplace.org.
CAN I BRING FOOD ON SITE?
Guests are encouraged to bring water, as there is no water fountain available on site.
Bring a picnic meal and be sure to remove all trash. Trash receptacles are not provided. Bring mats, blankets or a camp chair. Due to the historic landscape, games, chairs with legs, blow up furniture, etc. are not permitted. Masks are not required outdoors. For information on current health & safety guidelines, click here.
ARE RESTROOMS AVAILABLE ON SITE?
On-site restrooms are available for ticket holders. One is on the west side of the Historic House near the Smokehouse; the other contains a changing table and is located on the right side of the Garage building.
WILL VISITORS WITH CHILDREN BE ABLE TO VISIT?
History is for everyone. All ages are welcome! A historic artifact scavenger hunt is available for children to do during the tour. There is a garden adventure map for kids (of all ages) as well — go along at your own pace and find hidden treasures in plain sight. CAN I BRING MY STROLLER?
Strollers are permitted on the grounds in the garden. Note that the garden surfaces consist of grassy areas and paths laid with pea gravel, flagstone, bricks and stones set in grass .
Strollers are not permitted on Historic House tours; strollers can be folded and stored outside the Visitor Center entrance.
CAN GROUPS VISIT?

ARE PETS ALLOWED?
Service animals are permitted on site. Pets are not permitted.
DO YOU HAVE A CAFÉ?
There is no cafe on site. However, Tudor Place is nestled in the heart of Georgetown, a vibrant and bustling neighborhood. Many cafes, restaurants and shops are a short walking distance to Wisconsin Avenue, NW (two blocks west) or M Street, NW (six blocks south).
