Private Event & Wedding Venue in Washington, DC

Whether you’re looking for a romantic oasis framed by saucer magnolias and boxwood, a cozy garden decorated with limestone pedestals or the charm of a Victorian house, Tudor Place offers unique and intimate settings perfect for weddings and special occasions. A National Historic Landmark, Tudor Place is nestled on 5 ½ acres in the heart of the historic Georgetown neighborhood and convenient to downtown Washington D.C., Virginia and Maryland.

Site visits are encouraged. Make an appointment today to visit and learn more about hosting your special day. Email us at events@tudorplace.org or complete an online application.

Weddings

Let Tudor Place be the backdrop for your special day for memories that last a lifetime. Wedding rentals are limited to 70 or fewer guests.

Wedding rentals include up to two locations, staff members to facilitate your rental and a catering prep space. Chairs are included for most wedding ceremonies. Full-site rentals are available for $10,500 and include exclusive, full use of the property for up to 10 hours.

Your special day can begin at 8:00 a.m. and must end by 10:00 p.m. (due to neighborhood regulations). Event timing must include all vendor setup and breakdown.

Indoor Weddings

The beautiful Victorian-style Dower House, built in 1867, exudes quintessential historic charm and features intimate entertainment rooms plus an adjoining side garden for cocktails before or after your event.

Outdoor Weddings

Whether you seek intimacy in the Bowling Green, the serenity of the East Lawn or tranquility of the sweeping South Lawn – there’s a perfect spot for your perfect day.

Private Events & Special Occasions

Tudor Place can be rented for private events and special occasions including: rehearsal dinners, bridal showers, anniversary parties, engagement parties, proposals, film shoots, bat and bar mitzvahs, birthday parties, baby showers, celebrations of life, retirement parties, corporate retreats, holiday parties and more.

Conveniently located in Georgetown, Tudor Place feels like an escape from the city and is located moments away from downtown Washington, D.C. Let the historic interiors lend elegance and comfort to your meeting. On breaks your guests may stroll through the garden. Create a unique experience for your attendees by adding a guided tour of the historic house museum to the agenda.

Tudor Place does not provide catering or require guests to use specific vendors. Vendors that work well within our historic space can be recommended.

Photography & Filming

Tudor Place welcomes film and photography. Visitors cannot help but to take photos of this picturesque estate. Photography shoots – professional and hobbyist – and filming require a photography permit with prior arrangement. When is a permit required? Click here for more information.

A Tudor Place photography permit provides non-exclusive access to the 5 ½ acre site. Permits are available at an hourly rate based on availability. The interior of the historic house is not available for portrait or formal photography. Photography permits are not the same as private rentals and do not guarantee private access to any spaces in the garden. Make an appointment today to secure your permit.  Email us at events@tudorplace.org or call (202) 580-7320.
