Ways to Support the Historic House & Garden

Donors, members and friends are a vital part of the lifeforce of Tudor Place. Through you, we can continue to bring Tudor Place into its third century, strengthening this connection between the past and the present.

Donate

Tudor Place supporters are instrumental in preserving and maintaining this National Historic Landmark, serving more than 30,000 visitors annually. Your financial contribution:

  • Preservation of the living legacy of Tudor Place: the witness trees, historic boxwood, heirloom shrubs, flowers and the 5 1/2 acre estate.
  • Conservation of thousands of decorative objects and ephemera in the Tudor Place Collection & Archive.
  • Ensures dynamic educational programming for all ages.

Membership

Members are our partners in sharing the stories of the Peter family as well as the enslaved and free people who lived and worked at this National Historic Landmark. Membership is your connection to other like-minded individuals with a passion for history, gardens and the District – in a single community where a house became a home.

Members who love visiting museums and historic houses will benefit by joining at the Boxwood level for access to over 1100 museums nationwide through the North American Reciprocal Museum (NARM). Passionate about gardens? Join at the Rose level and add access to over 300 public gardens across North America through the American Horticultural Society (AHS).

Planned Giving

Include Tudor Place in your estate plans and preserve this National Historic Landmark for future generations. Email us at development@tudorplace.org or call 202-580-7323 for assistance.

Garden Party

The Spring Garden Party is the most significant annual fundraiser for Tudor Place and contributes over 20% of the annual operating revenue. Proceeds support the conservation of thousands of objects in the Tudor Place Collection & Archive, preservation of the 5 ½ acre estate and dynamic educational programming for all ages. Come and raise a glass with us under the stars.

When Does the Spring Garden Party Take Place?

The Spring Garden Party occurs on the third Wednesday in May, rain or shine. Click here for details.
