Mower House

After more than a year of planning, design, permitting and contract development, Tudor Place broke ground for an addition to the Mower House on October 14. Located in the southwest corner of the South Lawn, this expansion to the equipment & storage shed will include a space to accommodate garden tools, supplies, equipment as well as a natural gas emergency generator. The generator will serve life safety and environmental control systems that support the historic house & garage buildings in the event of a power outage.
Our partners include Hartman-Cox Architects and Whiting-Turner Contracting Company. A design team of civil engineers, mechanical engineers, structural engineers and arborists all play a part in this important project of our Master Preservation Plan.  The project is scheduled for completion in April 2023 at a cost of just under $2 million.
