Private Events

In the “business” of entertaining since 1816

Welcome to Tudor Place Historic House & Garden, a Federal period mansion nestled on 5 ½ acres of lush gardens. Share in the long standing tradition of hospitality and host your special occasion, meeting or corporate event on the spacious grounds. Tudor Place is perfect for any occasion like small meetings, corporate events, retreats, graduation celebrations, engagements, family reunions and baptisms. Choose from any two spaces below. Create a unique experience for your guests and attendees by adding a tour of the 1816 historic house, a National Historic Landmark, to your agenda.

Intimacy in the Bowling Green

The Bowling Green is a secluded oasis framed by tall boxwood, crowned by a ceiling of saucer magnolia trees and accented with elegant fountains and statuary. Perfect for a cocktail soiree, family event or special occasion.

Serenity on the East Lawn

Decorated with limestone pedestals, lined with seasonal plantings, fruit trees and saucer magnolias, the East Lawn provides elegance for your outdoor rental.

Elegance in the Dower House

Tudor Place offers tasteful historic rooms furnished with all you need for a successful meeting, retreat or corporate event of up to 25 people. A perfect setting for a cocktail reception or seated dinner, the 1867 Dower House exudes quintessential Victorian charm and features intimate entertainment rooms plus an adjoining side garden for cocktails and quiet conversation. A Tudor Place meeting rental includes:

  • AV: projector and screen
  • Optional podium
  • Access to wifi
  • Flexible set-up for up to 25 guests meeting style or 40 guests seated lecture style
  • Complimentary private tour of the 1816 historic house
