Weddings & Special Events and Occasions

Welcome to Tudor Place Historic House & Garden, a Federal period mansion nestled on 5 ½ acres of lush gardens. Gurgling fountains, iron gates, and bloom filled spaces lend a sense of romance. Built in 1816, Tudor Place has played host to six generations of Martha Washington’s descendants and has radiated elegance for over two centuries. Tudor Place offers unique and intimate settings and is perfect for special occasions.

Intimacy in the Bowling Green

The Bowling Green is a romantic, secluded oasis framed by tall boxwood, crowned by a ceiling of saucer magnolia trees, and accented with elegant fountains and statuary. Your guests will feel as though they have stumbled upon a secret garden.

Serenity on the East Lawn

Decorated with limestone pedestals, lined with seasonal plantings, fruit trees and saucer magnolias, the East Lawn provides elegance for your outdoor rental.

Elegance in the Dower House

The 1867 Dower House exudes quintessential Victorian charm and features intimate entertainment rooms plus an adjoining side garden for cocktails and quiet conversations. Follow your ceremony with cocktails in the garden!

Spacious South Lawn

Exchange vows underneath the sprawling 200-year-old Tulip Poplar tree as the grassy South Lawn expands around you. The Neoclassical Historic House, highlighted behind you, is a stunning backdrop for any event.
