Tudor Nights: Hair Today, Gone Tomorrow: History of Hair As Mementos

October 3 @ 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm

Locks of hair have held symbolic power for people throughout history. Whether it is memento of friendship and familial bonds or a token of superstition and luck, collecting hair is an intimate form of human connection. The Tudor Place Collection has dozens of preserved locks of hair, including many from George Washington. Join us for an evening untangling this history and the chance to see historic hair accessories like ornate combs, brushes and ornaments.

Tudor Nights is an opportunity to see rarely displayed objects and ephemera from the Tudor Place Collection & Archive. Afterward, join us for cocktails and lite hors d’oeuvres.

Members: FREE | Students (21+ with valid school ID): $10 | Non-members: $25
