Tudor Place professional development programs impart innovative multidisciplinary techniques for engaging students. Discover the Civil War in Washington Teacher Fellows.
2021 Professional Development Workshop Applications Are Open
Apply now for the Washington Civil War Consortium popular summer workshops, which will be online. This summer, accepted applicants will join up to 25 fellow educators to learn about Abraham Lincoln, Frederick Douglass and Washington during the Civil War. Applicants will reflect on how their personal understanding of the Civil War impacts their teaching, and gain confidence in tackling historical complexities. Fellows return to the classroom with access to new resources and a peer group of teachers to continue to explore the legacies of the Civil War and slavery.
