Celebrate the 224th anniversary of the completion of the White House by joining Artist-in-Residence Peter Waddell for a look behind the canvas with Dr. Matthew Costello, Senior Historian of the White House Historical Association and Vice President of the David M. Rubenstein National Center for White House History.
Take a look at Peter’s painting, “A Vision Takes Form,” as he highlights the artistic techniques of his latest work. Dr. Costello will share more of the historical context of construction, including the untold stories of the enslaved individuals who worked on this National Landmark.
