12th Annual Washington Informer African American Heritage Tour

July 20 @ 8:00 am - 3:00 pm

For their annual heritage tour, join the Washington Informer Charities for a special installation and guided tour of Tudor Place Historic House & Garden, highlighting the experiences of people of African descent who lived and worked there. This tour reimagines the historic house from the perspective of the enslaved and free individuals for whom it was both home and workplace. Using artifacts, maps, photographs and audio recordings, visitors will explore how these individuals practiced resistance and activism while navigating the traumas of slavery.

All participants must meet at THEARC for departure. A motorcoach will take everyone to Tudor Place, located in the historic Georgetown neighborhood. Check-in is: 7:15 a.m.| Return by 3:00 p.m. to THEARC. Included in this heritage tour is continental breakfast, lunch and snacks.

Adults: $30 | Youth (under 16): $15
