Tudor Place’s Washington Camp Stool Goes to Philadelphia
An original camp stool from the Tudor Place Collection, which travelled with George Washington during the Revolutionary War, will be a part of an upcoming exhibition “Witness to Revolution: The Unlikely Travels of Washington’s Tent” at the Museum of the American Revolution in Philadelphia, PA. It will be reunited with other artifacts from Washington’s life during the Revolutionary War such as his foldable field bedstead, a silver camp cup and, of course, George Washington’s War Tent.
The camp stool will return to Tudor Place once the exhibition concludes on January 5, 2025. Be sure to visit the Museum of the American Revolution starting President’s Day Weekend to learn more about this essential part of American History.
