Tudor Nights: Hygiene History in the Peter Household

September 15 @ 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm

Discover how ideas of cleanliness have changed over the last 200 years. See soaps, toothbrushes, toothpaste and other toiletry items left behind by Peter family members. Visit one of the upstairs bathrooms that was modernized in 1914 with all the artifacts in tact. Afterwards join us for cocktails and lite hors d’ouerves in the Dower House.

Brush up on your flushing toilet history with this blog post on the Peter family’s portable water closet by Curator Rob DeHart.  Click here.
