Black Georgetown Community History Project: Oral History

Explore Georgetown’s Black history and learn how to preserve family memories with oral history.

DC-based oral historian Anna Kaplan and Georgetowner Vernon Ricks will share best practices for collecting oral histories, while exploring Vernon’s memories of the neighborhood.

This free, virtual community program is organized by Dumbarton House, Georgetown Heritage, Mt. Zion – Female Union Band Society Historic Memorial Park, Inc. and Tudor Place Historic House & Garden.
