CUB SCOUTS
Program Dates and Times:
All programs are 1.5 hours long. All programs can
be scheduled Monday – Friday 10 am – 5 pm,
Saturdays 10 am –3 pm,
or Sundays 12 pm—3 pm.
Fee:
$10 per Scout unless otherwise noted (includes all materials and

$3 per Adult

DAISY & BROWNIES
Enchanting Garden Explorations
Enchanting formal gardens add to the beauty of the historic house. Armed with magnifying glasses, Scouts explore 5½ acres of historic gardens in search of flowers, plants, and wildlife. After completing the tour, Scouts design and decorate their own birdhouse. Fulfills all requirements for the Brownie Eco-Explorer Try-It.
Toys Through Time
Take an I-Spy journey through the historic mansion in search of children’s toys that are over 200 years old! After the tour, Brownies use their imaginations to create paper dolls and a stage to hold a spectacular performance! Fulfills all requirements for the Brownie Puppets, Dolls, and Plays Try-It.
Art Through Time ($12 per Scout)
Scouts become art detectives as they examine rare
works of art during an interactive tour of the historic
mansion. After the tour, Scouts participate in a hands on
workshop to create their own gold leaf frame to
take home.
JUNIOR GIRL SCOUTS
Architecture Everywhere!
Become an architect at Tudor Place! Scouts explore architectural styles from around the world, while touring historic homes in Georgetown. After the tour, Scouts put their creativity to work by designing their own building and landscape. Fulfills all requirements for the Architecture Badge.

Take an I-Spy journey through the historic mansion in search of children’s toys that are over 200 years old! After the tour, Scouts learn a traditional early American dance and use their imaginations to create clothespin dolls! Fulfills all requirements for the Folklore Badge.
Art Through Time ($12 per Scout)
Scouts become art detectives as they examine rare
works of art during an interactive tour of the historic
mansion. After the tour, Scouts participate in a hands on
workshop to create their own gold leaf frame to
take home. Fulfills 5 requirements for Doing Hobbies
and Folk Arts Badges.
CADETTE & SENIOR SCOUTS
Architecture Everywhere!
Scouts become Architectural Detectives, while exploring architectural styles from around the world during an interactive tour of historic Georgetown. After the tour, Scouts put their creativity to work by designing their own house and garden. Fulfills several requirements for the Museum Discovery and Architecture and Environmental Design Interest Projects.

mansion. After the tour, Scouts participate in a
hands-on workshop to create their own gold leaf
frame to take home. Fulfills several requirements
for the Visual Arts Interest Project.
CUB SCOUT PROGRAMS
Nature Detectives
As nature detectives, Scouts explore Tudor Place’s 5½ acre historic garden in search of plants and animals. After the tour, Scouts build their own birdhouse to take home. The program fulfills parts of multiple achievements and electives, including: Tiger: Let’s Go Outdoors, Feed the Birds, Make a Model, Fun Outdoors; Wolf: Birds and Grow Something; Bear: Sharing Your World With Wildlife, Games, Games, Games!, The Past is Exciting and Important, Build a Model.
Travel Through Time
Scouts travel back through time during an interactive tour of the historic mansion and grounds to learn about different methods of transportation. After the tour, Scouts but their creativity to work by building a model airplane. The program fulfills parts of multiple achievements and electives, including: Tiger: Make a Model; Wolf: Know Your Home and Community, Spare Time Fun (make a model), Be an Artist; Bear: What Makes America Special?, The Past is Exciting and Important, Build a Model, Aircraft.
